This is my Uncle Ron.
I knew him for as long as i can remember. He was the companion of my nan for over 20 years. It all began when my nan visited Australia in the 70's and Uncle Ron 'looked after' the house whilst she was away. When my nan returned they found they didn't want to live alone anymore. They never married but sometimes acted like it! My nan says he was the best friend she ever had. He became part of a large at times disfunctional family without ever complaining or moaning. He worked all of his life and gave up 40 yrs of smoking the year before he died. I was a stroppy teenager when he died, but he still was there for me no matter what i did. He was there for all of us.
Uncle Ron, I want to say thank you. I know i could of said it a lot more when you were here. Nan misses you so much. I do go around when i can. Its strange to be in the house & leave nan alone there. I love you very much and think of you costantly. I've done many silly things in my life, the main one being getting out of the car too quick the last time i saw you. I wanted to give you a hug & tell you i loved you but the traffic was bad & you had to move on. So i didnt. Im sorry. I finally got on my feet. I divorced the man you were all so worried about, and you were right. But i survived & so did the kids. We are very happy now and Vic, my best friend looks after us all. I hope your chillin in a better place, takin Lady for a walk maybe, looking forward to being with nan again. See you when i get there Uncle Ron. I love you. Sam.x

It’s amazing what can truly happen,
How your life can be so grand;
When you give up trying on your own
And let an angel hold your hand.

All the loneliness inside of you
Will completely disappear;
When you realize you’re not alone,
That your angel is very near.

Your life will become more meaningful,
As well as totally rearrange;
You’ll be amazed at all that you can do,
At the blessings of the change.
__♥_

You will be able to handle anything,
There is nothing you can’t face;
With your angel there to lead you
Your entire life will fall in place.
__♥_

Just give up trying on your own,
And allow your angel to lead;
All of Heaven’s blessings will come to you,
Nothing else you’ll ever need.
__♥_

No matter what you are called to do,
How simple or complex the task;
Your angel will be there to show the way,
All you have to do is ask.
__♥_

Don’t ever let yourself feel discouraged,
Feel this thought within your soul;
All the things you’ve ever dreamed of
Will become a reachable goal.

So let your angel hold your hand,
Your life will be so complete;
Prepare to conquer the tasks of life,
There will be no battle you can’t defeat.

In Sympathy

So sorry for your loss. My nan passed away in July and it feels like my whole world has been taken away. On this site their memory can live on. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless. x

What is Dying?

A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.

Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'

That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.

Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.
